Can't add connection in RA for previous RA Lite User

We have run into this issue many times recently... here is the scenario...

• Storm starts, and we find we don't have a connection with a contractor we need to use
• We use RA Lite for that event 
• We then follow-up after the storm to get them fully set-up in RA 
• Can't send them the connection, as the system says they are 'already associated with an account' but they don't know what that is... 

I would like to ask that the Product team take a look at how these two modules work together, since i can't imagine we are alone in having this struggle.
