Looking to gauge interest in the ability to add new, imported, crew members directly thought the Crew Manager front end. This would eliminate the need to use the data import process when adding a single crew member.
Jason, we have gotten this request several times about input of members to an imported roster. We always have a roster sent to us and then once we are checking them in the roster is not correct. They ultimately send more people, or someone couldn't come so someone else came instead. The only way to correct this is to fix the roster sent to us then reload the "corrected" roster. During an event this could be very detrimental to our counts, etc for lodging and meals. The problem also occurs with equipment/vehicles.
This would also come in handy (as a workaround) in cases where we need to correct typos/misspelled names. Instead of uploading single-member rosters, this would help save a few steps and allow us to make quick corrections.
Sounds intriguing...would there be an "input" screen to enter the required attribute values for the member? Meaning, we require certain attributes to be completed for each member on a crew when the member is imported and I would like to have the ability to tailor the front end direct entry method to ensure the user is entering the required attributes and its values.
