New Shift Rule Set for Absent and PTO reasons creating a rule where if an employee is absent or on PTO they cannot be assigned or offered a shift for that day or for x hours before and or after.
Employee is on sick for X hours, I cannot be assigned or offered a shift that day - rule shift set with logic.
Employee is on PTO for X hours, I cannot be assigned or offered a shift that day - rule shift set with logic.
On the Shift Assignment screen the Conflict column would display the Absent or PTO reason and shift start and end time when applicable - Sick, Vacation. FMLA, Paternity, etc...
Current functionality is a warning/comment in the Shift Assignment column PTOOverlap or Overlap IF the shift being assigned or offered 'touches' the existing shift the employee is on PTO or Absent.
Knowing an employee is sick or on vacation when offering or assigning a shift would give additional visibility to the Supervisor and improve outcomes for filling the open or opentime or overtime shift.
