Improve Search function (for Member Names) in Crew Manager

The Search field in the Crew Manager Crew Panel is pretty confusing for new users as many think it doesn't do anything.  The most common request I've received is to be able to quickly search for a person by their name (whether internal or external/imported) to determine what crews, or if it's an external resource, what contractor they are with.

Hi Jackson, I wanted to let you know about another way to search for crew members. By selecting a crew and clicking the "Add Crew Member" icon, you can search by name. This search can be enabled to include both internal and imported resources via a checkbox and option under Edit Crew Mode Settings. This returns what crew (if any) the person is assigned to (along with the other members on the crew), as well as, crew and member level attributes. Hope this helps as we continue to look at ways to improve search functionality.

Hi Jason, hope all is well!  Yes, we do know about that method and communicate that to new users as best we can.  However, it's not something that is very straightforward and obvious without some training/user experience (compared to the "Search" field that right there in the panel).  Certainly appreciate any improvements you can develop/push.

Another good way to search in Crew Manager is use the browser default search function (Ctrl F).  This will pop up a box to search and will allow to do a partial text search or whatever.  This is available on most all browsers and if very helpful when you have a large perspective.

CTRL-F only searches the page you're currently on... we (AEP) are in favor of Jackson's original Idea  -  provide the ability to search for any Member, whether internal/external, no matter which Perspective he/she is in.  Thank you!
