Separate Schedule Alert for Absence Notifications

We are using the ARCOS capability to have our employees call in to the system/use the app to record emergency absences, but these are treated in ARCOS just like any other daily schedule change would be for Schedule Alerts, firing off notification emails to folks who do not need to be bothered with the absence notification. Would it be possible to create a separate Absence schedule alert notification type and allow us to target a more appropriate audience for those notifications?
