QR Code Check in to Crew Manager & Resource Assist
The ability to simplify check in process would be very helpful.
Some high level functional ideas
Ability to have personnel scan a QR code using a mobile device to update their status in Crew Manager to show they are onsite.
Ability for a Contractor (Base Load or Resource Assist) to check in and drop into a workflow for check in and onboarding.
Ability to have personnel scan a QR code mounted need an exit driveway using a mobile device to update their status in Crew Manager to show they are off site potentially include offboarding checklist.
If contractors or MA come on site provide a QR code to scan with a mobile device to start the process to on board and to start the check in and onboarding process.
Ability to add geolocation to the scan and logging.
Ability to log and search and report any of these transactions.
The AEP Team would certainly appreciate this feature also: We envision the Team Lead's for each arriving contingency (AEP Crews, Baseload Contractors, IOU Crews, Non-IOU Contractors) showing their QR Code at the Staging/Onboarding site to check in all of their resources (employees, vehicles and equipment). As Cameron states above, this will then update their status in CM, automatically moving them into the necessary perspective for the host OpCo.
