"Sign-Up Open Time" Shift Assignment Column
The "Sign-Up Open Time" column displays conflicting green check marks between assigning a shift via Shift Management and assigning a shift via the Open Shift Sign-Up Board
The "Sign-Up Open Time" column incorrectly displays the green checkmark when assigning an open shift (overtime) to an employee.
For example:
• Acting as a Supervisor I will be creating two open shifts (overtime), one of which will be posted to the “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab and the other remain on the “Shift Management” tab. The shifts will be from 0600 to 1000 on 05/26 for the SFO Ticket Counter location
• Acting as an employee, I will be signing-up for an open shift (overtime) via the “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab (Employee: Emi Aiko)
o Via the “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab, I click on the “shifts” link for the applicable calendar day (05/26)
o I click on the “Sign-Up” link for the applicable shift (0600-1000)
o I “Accept” the sign-up
• When acting as a Supervisor, I click on the “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab, then the “Assign” link for the applicable shift (05/26: 0600 – 1000)
o Once redirected to the “Assigning Shift” page, the “Sign-Up Open Time” column will correctly display a green checkmark, indicating that the employee (Emi Aiko) has signed up for an open shift via the “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab
• However, when acting as a Supervisor I click on the “Shift Management” tab, then the “Assign” link for the second 0600 to 1000 shift which remained on the “Shift Management” tab
o Once redirected to the “Assigning Shift” page, the “Sign-Up Open Time” column does not display a green checkmark, indicating that the employee (Emi Aiko) has signed up for an open shift via the “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab.
We would expect that the “Sign-Up Open Time” column display a green checkmark so long as the Supervisor is assigning an open shift (overtime) on the same calendar day. This is because “Assigning Shift” page should be synonymous regardless of where the Supervisor is assigning the open shift (overtime); either the “Shift Management” or “Open Shift Sign-Up” tab. In addition, when a Supervisor assigns an open shift (overtime), they need to be aware how the employee has signed-up for the open shift (overtime).
